citygirlcafé City Girl Gourmet Catering was founded in 1993 by Cheryl Schwartz and Meredith Moscato, shortly after Meredith's graduation from the Cambridge School of Culinary Arts. City Girl Gourmet has proudly delivered  distinctively flavorful food to the Boston area ever since. In 1997, with dreams of owning their own small restaurant and encouragement from friends, the twosome opened City Girl Café in Inman Square, Cambridge, Massachusetts.
High on atmosphere, the rich deep tones of wood floors, counters and furniture lend to the café rustic charm. There is an eclectic décor of handcrafted pottery, paintings and sculpture mixed with wooden toys for kids and Bon Appetit Magazine for the more sophisticated "foodies." In a letter to the Cambridge Licensing Board regarding a Beer/Wine license one neighbor wrote, Besides serving great food in an intimate, friendly setting, City Girl Café has been a significant contributor to the revitalization of Inman Square that has taken place in the last ten years.Another local resident wrote, The fantastic food at affordable prices is a find in Cambridge.In the Boston Globe,  Cheap Eats Section, Sheryl Julian wrote, "a square of spinach and mushroom lasagna is ample and so good it could grace the menu of any uptown restaurant." Whether you're starting with the Bruschetta Carciofo, dining on the Penne Melanzane, sharing a Basilico Pizza or ending your meal with a delicious, fresh filled cannoli and cappuccino you'll always experience high quality, delicious food and friendly service. City Girl Café was chosen as a "Hidden Jewel" by the Phantom Gourmet and honored by the Greater Boston Business Council with a Small Business Recognition Award.
Catering Information For over twelve years City Girl Café has served the Boston area with distinctively flavorful food and creative menus. Using the freshest ingredients and highest quality food, our chefs create and attractively  present everything on our catering menu for your business lunches, conferences, casual gatherings and formal events. Whether you need a staffed event or prefer to have Drop-off service including delivery and set-up, the City Girl staff will ensure that your function is everything you hoped it would be. While you can peruse our online catering menu or print them out for future reference, they are only a sample of the food we provide. We would love to help you plan a menu perfectly suited to your event so feel free to contact us for further assistance. For our corporate and business clients we accept MC/Visa or if you prefer we can set-up a business account. For our new private customers a partial deposit is required.
